Sunday, Oct. 1 is Respect Life Sunday, kicking off Respect Life Month. On Respect Life Sunday, Bishop Michael Sis will celebrate a diocesan pro-life Mass and the major cities in our diocese will see "Life Chains" along popular roadways to draw attention to the sanctity of life. It is with sadness that we must announce that, due to being short staffed in the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, we will not be having Diocesan Conference Day in 2023.

A novena is a prayer prayed on nine consecutive days with a specific intention. It may be made at any time of the year, but a popular time to pray a Novena to St. Michael the Archangel is on each of the nine days from Sept. 20 to 28.

To serve the pastoral needs of the people of God, Bishop Michael Sis announces changes in assignments of priests in the Diocese of San Angelo, effective October 16, 2023.

A vigil service will be held at 6 PM, Sunday, Aug. 27, and a Funeral Mass at 11 AM, Monday, Aug. 28, at St. Patrick Parish in Brady.

The building has recently been gifted to the pro-life Pregnancy Help Center of the Concho Valley, and it will soon be converted for use in the life-affirming mission of the Pregnancy Help Center. Bishop Michael Sis will preside over the blessing ceremony, and Bishop Emeritus Michael Pfeifer will speak on the history of pro-life efforts at that facility.
