Holy Angels Church in San Angelo is seeking a qualified person for the DRE position (Pre-K through 6th grade) and CYM position (from 7th through 12th grades). As a representative of the pastor, the DRE & CYM would implement the parish religious education program in accordance with the Parish Mission Statement and Goals. The DRE & CYM would manage RE-program content, staff, and volunteers; coordinate with other parish ministries and activities; report to pastor and parish councils/committees as required. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: An undergraduate or graduate degree in theology or religious education, or Master Catechist Program, or a university certificate program in catechetical leadership. ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE: · Executive responsibility as employee or volunteer. · Experience in working with adult volunteers. · A record of attendance at workshops and seminars in management and administrative skills by any Catholic Diocese in the US. · Two to three years recent catechetical experience. Sacred Heart cathedral is looking for a Nursery worker. This is a part-time, paid position (8-10 hours per week). Purpose: To provide safe, secure, and nurturing care in a clean environment to children while at Sacred Heart Cathedral in San Angelo, TX. Responsibilities and/or duties: -Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer. -Make sure all children get signed in and out by a parent or guardian. -Communicate effectively and harmoniously with children, parents, and volunteers. -Stay until all children are secured with a responsible adult named on the child’s registration form. -In the event of an emergency, we will notify the parent or designated guardian via phone. -Straighten the room and clean using COVID cleaning protocol. Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Two years experience in childcare or early childhood development. -Employee will care for children between the ages of newborn through 5 years with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities. -At least 18 years of age. -Satisfactory completion of background check. -Completion of the Diocese of San Angelo Ethics and Integrity course. -Physical activity to include: frequently standing, walking and sitting. Employee must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds for diaper changes or emergency situations. -Three references are required.
